I have a routine worked out with my family each Christmas. I basically buy all my own presents, buy all of their presents and then wrap the majority of them. It might seem like a strange set up, and come Christmas morning there are not many surprises, but it works for me. I love shopping. I love shopping for myself, for other people, with other people, and this way I get to shop and not feel so guilty about spending.
For my own apartment I have a little art project in mind for myself. I think this year to wrap all the presents I'll buy a roll of plain paper, paint it Tiffany Blue and finish with white ribbons. It's a cheaper option to buying wrapping paper and gift bags and my lounge room will feel like Tiffany's. I'll post pictures! Basically, this will be me on Christmas morning when I arrive at my mum's place...
I know it's a little early to be thinking about Christmas, but it's not only helpful but fun to prepare for the party season. At such a busy time of year it's a good idea to get onto Christmas shopping early to avoid last minute shopping at Office Works (yes, this might have been me a few days before Christmas last year) but it gives you time to plan all your outfits so when you're rushing from party to party you don't have to stress about what you're going to wear.
